Please read these terms carefully before using our services.

1. General

These terms apply to all use of our services. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

We reserve the right to change these terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon publication on the website.

2. Services

VÉL ehf. provides earthwork services, including excavation, soil exchange, utilities, foundation work, transportation and machinery services. All work is carried out according to best professional practice and in accordance with applicable regulations and safety standards.

We reserve the right to decline projects that we do not consider to fall under our expertise or to stop work if safety conditions or other circumstances require it.

3. Payments and Pricing

Payments for earthwork services shall be made according to contract. Payment terms are 30 days from invoice date unless otherwise agreed. Late payment interest is 1.5% per month.

All prices are quoted including VAT unless otherwise stated. Prices may change due to unexpected site conditions or changes in material costs.

4. Liability and Insurance

VÉL ehf. is liable for its earthwork services according to Icelandic law and has adequate liability insurance. Our liability is limited to direct damage that can be attributed to our negligence in the execution of earthwork projects.

We are not liable for damage resulting from unexpected soil conditions, hidden utilities or other unforeseen obstacles that could not be anticipated at the start of the project.

5. Safety and Regulations

All earthwork is carried out in accordance with applicable safety rules and regulations of the Occupational Safety Authority. VÉL ehf. employees have appropriate education and qualifications for the work they perform.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate information about utilities, soil conditions and other factors that may affect project safety.

6. Disputes

Icelandic law applies to these terms and all contracts with us.

Disputes shall be resolved before Icelandic courts, primarily the District Court of Reykjavík.
